I don't know if I've linked to this subject before, but there are some cool High Dynamic Range (HDR) pictures of Manhattan over at FlickR. Hat Tip: Digg.
Basically the idea is you take several pictures of the same scene, using different exposure levels on your camera. Then you combine those images with Photoshop.
